ANURADAPURA    

Anuradapura is a major city in sri lanka. It is the capital city of north central province sri lanka and the capital of Anuradhapura district. Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of sri lanka famous for its well preserved ruins of an ancient Sinhala civization. It was the third capital of the kindom of Rajarata following the kingdoms of Tambapanni and upatissanuwara.

The city now a world  heritage side was the centre of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries. The city lies 205 km north of current capital. Of Colombo in the north central province. On the banks of the historic malvathu river. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and one of the eight world heritage sites of sri lanka.

ACTIVITIES

Morning – leave for Anuradhapura( 3^rd c.BC -8^th c AD) via puttalam.Afternoon – sighseeing of the ancient city.if time permits visit Mihintale (cradle of Buddhism ) overnight Anuradhapura.

HABARANA

Habarana is famous among tourists and locals due to the nearby national wild life parks; minneriya, kaulla, and Hurulu wewa eco park, which has a huge population of elephants. There are also, elephant safaris offered that cut through the lake into the forest. Another reason it’s very popular among tourists is because of the luxurious nature- friendly hotels in habarana. Another  important thing about habarana is its unique location, for it is very near to two world heritage sites and other archeological sites sigiriya, Polonnaruwa Anuradhapura and damulla (rock temple ) are only one hour’s drive. Obviously it’s a great location for history lovers and nature lovers.

 There are many places which organize Elephant safaris around the Habarana Lake. They also organize camping. 

ACTIVITES

Early morning – leave for wilpattu National park with picnic Lunch. Afternoon proceed to Habarana. Overnight habarana.

KANDY

Same aspects of the art and architecture of kandy still survive in the living form, illuminating for us in away that literary descriptions and ruined monuments cannot da , the style and character of sri lankan civilization seen from the hills above the lake this architectural complex gives us a brilliant miniature image of what the dead capitals of anuradapura sigiriya and kotte  must one have been pects of the art and architecture of kandy still survive in the living form, illuminating for us in a way that literary description.

ACTIVITES

Morning – proceed to kandy visiting the 5 c. sigiriya Rock Fortress en route . Evining visit the Dalada maligawa the golden roofed temple of the sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha. Overnigt kandy

ARUGAMBAY

Arugam Bay is fishing village on the Eastern coast just 3 km from pottuvil town. You can reach Arugam Bay from monaragala on a4 and from  Batticaloa. It is believed to be the best surfing area in sri lanka. It is developing into a major tourist attraction mainly because of the beach which tourists visit throughout the year.

Crocodile rock is famous as you can see wild elephants at almost any given time. You can see elephants on the monaragala- pottuvil road and Batticaloa- pottuvil road.

ACTIVITIES

Morning leave for Arugambay-at leisure. Enjoy the sun surf and sand. Best between April-Nov. Arugambay is rated 3^rd among the best 20 surfing destination in the world. Overnight at Arugambay.

UDAWALAWA NATIONAL PARK

Is next in popularity to yala .,and elephants could easy be observed even in middy. In addition 39 species of mammals and 183 species of birds have been recorded.

Morning proceed to Udawalawe National park via Monaragala, wellawaya.overnight at udawalawe.

RATHNAPURA

Rathnapura is the major city in sri lanka it’s the capital city of sabaragamuwa province as well as the Rathnapura district and is a traditional centre  for the sri lanka gem trade it is located on the kalu ganga in south central sri lanka . 

ACTIVITIES     

Afternoon proceed to Colombo visiting Ratnapura ( Gem city ) enroute.
